About Sunbury Lodge Monday 26, February 2018

Named after the town in Victoria, Sunbury Lodge is located in the hinterlands of the Great Lakes Shire just 15 minutes by boat to Forster-Tuncurry or 25 minutes by car to Hallidays Point main surfing beach or Taree. The lodge is located on a 230-acre working beef cattle farm formerly known as Riverview Station. Sunbury Lodge offers a unique location and rustic environment to nature lovers, bush walkers, water sports enthusiasts, amateur astronomers and those who just want to escape the hustle and bustle of the "big smoke" for a few days. On most nights, the only sounds you'll hear are the cicadas, crickets and owls -- and perhaps the crackling from a camp fire, as you gaze upward to take in the starlit magnificence of the great southern sky.

Water skiing enthusiasts will never enjoy smoother water. Immediately after launching your boat, you have a choice of three rivers. No matter which way the wind is blowing, you can always choose sheltered water that's good enough for bare foot skiing. Natural forests always shelter boaters from prevailing winds if it starts to blow. If you're really into skiing, ask about the "gun barrel run."
